Hong Kong as China's Global Financial Center
The Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB), supported by Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK), Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) is hosting a series of conferences in leading global financial centers to promote Hong Kong as China's global financial center. The first conference, held in London on November 16, will be followed by another in New York in early March next year.
Survey Confirms Hong Kong as Asia's Preferred Business Hub
The number of overseas and Mainland Chinese companies running business operations in Hong Kong has increased 2.6 percent to a total of 6,561 companies, according to an annual survey released by Invest Hong Kong and the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD).

On October 25, Hong Kong Secretary for Justice, Wong Yan Lung, SC, and the Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Dong Songgen, signed the Cooperation Arrangement on Legal Services for Commercial Matters and Arbitration. The arrangement aims to foster exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and the Mainland of China.
