16th Annual "Made in Hong Kong" Film Festival
16th Annual Made In Hong Kong Film Festival July 8 – August 21, 2011 Freer Gallery of Art Meyer Auditorium Independence Avenue at 12th Street, SW Metro: Smithsonian This summer, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, in conjunction with the Smithsonian’s Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, presents its 16th Annual “Made in Hong” Film Festival. This year’s film festival features action-packed comedies, thrillers, and martial arts action movies. In addition, the closing weekend will be devoted to the Kung Fu/Hip Hop connection, featuring a Jackie Chan classic, the New York-based collective Hop Fu and a panel discussion on the influence of Hong Kong cinema and U.S. culture.
